oh, regarding the 100kb max image size, any recommended or min/max dimensions of the image? i mean, i can send a 100kb high quality JPEG 800x600 image, or a 100kb lower quality JPEG full 8MP image as well.

so any recommended dimensions?

A 200KB high-quality JPEG at 800x600 or 102xx768 will convey a better message than a lower-quality JPEG of huge dimensions.

So, personally, I would shoot for something between 800-1000pixels at the widest (for landscape format) / longest (for portrait format) and adjust the JPEG compression to fit within the 200KB limit.

Edit : I just upped the limit to 200KB to cater for potentiall higher image quality submissions.

I am unsticking this thread temporarily, as I gotten feedback from some members that they tend to miss or not read stickies.

Have a Happy Lunar New Year and remember to bring along your camera to capture the Festivities ie. the theme for this first series of the bi-monthly competition.

Hi, I will like to submit one photo which I have taken at chinatown on CNY eve. However, the EXIF Infor will show the date somewhere in 1980 because I have not set the date/ time before taking the photo.

Can I still submit the photo for entry because it is very obvious that the photo is taken at chinatown during the most recent CNY nght market. If you have been to chinatown recently, you will not have missed the subject in my photo!

You can specify the details and explanation in the comments. The judges will look into it.
