Have you ever wanted to venture into the realm of wildlife photography but havent got the chance and means to do so in a proper way? Heres your chance to make your move!
Nikon, Clubsnap and NPS Singapore are joining resources to bring you Wildlife Photography Workshop 2003 that is to be conducted at our very own Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve! This workshop is aimed at creating awareness in wildlife conservation and for photographers who want to take up wildlife photography to take a step forward.
Nikon Singapore will be sponsoring the event with the appropriate equipments from their product range and be subsidizing a large part of the cost for setting up this workshop. Clubsnap will be inviting a couple of wildlife photography experts to help conduct the workshop and be guides to those who are new to the wetland reserve.
Transport to and fro the wetland reserve will be provided, and the rest of the details are as follow:

- Mr Tan Boen Hian (Macro Photographer, EXCO member NPS)
Mr Tan Boon Hian is an expert macro photographer from NPS. Boon Hian will be teaming up with the next speaker (Mr Fred Lee) in the macro photography portion of the workshop.

Main Hide & Sungei Buloh Besar (Station 2)
- Mr Chng Peng Eik (Bird/Nature Photographer, also known as chngpe01 in ClubSnap)
Mr Chng aka chngpe01 is no stranger to our World of Nature gallery and the winner for NPS Nature in Action photo competition with his work "Weaving a Nest - Baya Weaver". He will be our guest speaker on "Approaching and Conserving the habitat for wildlife", and guide during the workshop.

Mr Foo Sai Khoon is a keen nature photographer whom will be teaming up with Mr Chng Peng Eik to pass on his knowledge about nature photography in the workshop.

Aerie (Station 3)
- Mr Fong Chee Wai (President, NPS Singapore)
Mr Fong CW is a well seasoned wildlife photographer and the current President of the Nature Photographic Society, Singapore. Chee Wai will be introducing newcomers to Nature Photography in his talk, and the guide to the wetland reserve during the workshop.

Inner Hide/Ponds (Station 4)
- Mr Dennis Ho (Vice President, NPS Singapore)
Mr Dennis Ho is an experienced wildlife photographer and the current Vice President of the Nature Photographic Society, Singapore. Dennis will be passing on his knowledge on handling telephoto and super telephoto lens during the workshop. He will also be a guide in the hands-on session.

Event volunteers

Participants to the workshop with Nikon F-mount SLR bodies are encouraged to test out the lenses that are made available during the workshop. Digital SLR bodies are also available for use, great for those who want a feel of the Nikon system in this aspect of photography.
There is a small fee for this workshop ($5), which will involve the cost of transportation, the entry fee to the wetland reserve and refreshments during the workshop.
The workshop will be limited to the size of 30 participants and be treated in a first-come-first-serve basis. Interested participants, please include your nick and preferred timeframe in the following list and kindly leave your name & contact number in my PM or email me at avatar@myviewfinder.net , I will be calling you personally to verify and confirm your place in the workshop.
UPDATE 21 Oct: Due to an overwhelming vote in favour of the 9am-3pm timeframe, I will be putting it up as the official timeframe for this shoot/workshop.

UPDATE 2 Nov: It has been decided that the official timeframe be 7:45am to 2pm (or 3pm if extended). Kindly note that the pickup time for the transport is 7:00am at Tiong Bahru MRT station.
