close-up vs micro

Hi Pro,

I was thinking of getting a close-up or micro filter to shoot ants.
Currently a prosumer cam user, panasonic FZ10, i need something that can fit my camera.

1) Is there such a thing as a micro filter? and what is the different is it from the close-up filter?

2) Saw in some of the threads that there is such a thing as x1, x2, x3, and x4 version. Which is the best to use? If i stack the filter, will it produce a dimmer photo?

3) I need the ants to be enlarge as much as possible, so what combination is better?

4) Roughtly how much each of the filter costs.

if the ant is not moving (i.e. dead or pinned down) then you might try reversing a 50mm f1.4 or f1.8 lens in front of your FZ10.
