Clifford Pier to be demolished? is it true?

This is very sad if true...perhaps we should start our personal projects to photograph our historic structures before they are all gone....
I was afraid that clifford pier would be gone one day....so i went down earlier this yr to shoot this...

Sad, but unfortunately in a progressing society we would have to do that. else you won't have the orchard road that you have today, most of the buildings are there in place of something which has been demolised..
Yes Clifford Pier would move. A new pier building is being built at Marina South.
BUT the current Clifford Pier would be preserved. To be redeveloped, instead is the Overseas Union House beside it.
HOWEVER it wouldn't be a pier anymore once the Marina Barrage is complete.

in the last 20 years, they already demolished the shaw building, the ngee ann building, the orchard cinema building, the cathay cinema building, nothing much left actually...espn said:
