Polarisers have special grain patterns (IIRC) that controls how light rays impacting at various angles pass through it. By rotating it you change the orientation of the grain patterns, and how the different light rays pass through it.

yeh. just turn and adjust looking through ur viewfinder. Get the best you feel and press the shutter.

If you want to try out the effects, use ur CPL in front of a LCD monitor. Turn and see it work.

In addition, if you keep turning and nothing happens, do it at an angle ... a polarizer can also act like an ND filter ...

best way to view the effect of cir pol on photo is to point it at reflected light from sea / water / glass when u turn the filter u will c the glare reducing
