Reallusion iClone -now into it's 7th edition,- is a realtime 3D animation programme for dummies. If game-quality short film is your thing, iClone can save you plenty of time and effort. There are plenty of free props and scenes from Google 3D Warehouse and the iclone marketplace is full of ready-to -apply actions, actors and sets. Despite it's amazing ecosytem, iClone remains strictly a Windows app after all these years.

Still in a pre-release beta, Cine Tracer shares many of iClone's features in terms of macro-level world building. What is perhaps lacking is the magic of iClone's sister programme - Crazytalk for lipsynch and facial puppetry. Hopefully, Cine Tracer will start attracting a sizeable following among filmmakers and give impetus to asset creators to start a marketplace.
