Choices of Prosumer Cameras

Hi,

I'm rather new towards prosumer cameras..

currently looking for a prosumer camera to start with....Would need some help with regards to the 2 cameras that I'm looking at.. I'm completely lost between the choice..

1. Panasonic FZ18.. (retail price: SGD749 , 2GB card, carrying case)
2. Sony DSC H7.. (retail price: SGD599 ,2GB card,carrying case)

A difference of 150sgd..

and im not sure whether can i justify the $ difference.. lol... (being new towards photography)..

lost. arhhh.. :dunno:

i think the fz18 goes for <$650.. street price of H7 i not very sure ..

prices are inclusive of gst, 2gb card and carrying case..
there u see.. the price difference is down to $108.. :bsmilie: and not to forget Sony always place a premium price over its products.. so a higher price might not necessary mean a better camera..

Was quite interested in getting a prosumer some time back as a carry-around. Comparing spec-for-spec, I would actually go for the fz-18 (even though i am quite a Sony supporter and using their alpha700)

Handling and performance wise you really have to handle the cameras yourself to judge. :)
