Took a shot of the altar while having Ah Chiang's Porridge..
My second day with the D60 haha
Hope it's not too novice a shot to be posted here

pillar on the left is really distracting and takes up big portion of pic. u may need to compose this in other ways so it becomes abstract

my 2 cents...
 

Joo Chiat area has nice peranakan buildings, may like to try it.
I like those flowery tiles, roof tiles, gates, cornices.... swee swee.. :thumbsup:

I also new here. Maybe can do some cropping? on the "No entry" sign that is half hidden there? :)
 

It lacks any form of visual impact to be really interesting I feel. Keep trying, man
 

still a good shot there. im newbie too still. teehee.
 

Doesn't tell much. If from a foreigner's view, how would it speak to them? I think they might get stumped. Showing a clearer composition of the subject in pray and the subs like the offerings would be a good idea, perhaps from the side, etc. Improve on the angle. Background too cluttered.
