What will you tell your fellow Singaporeans who have a company (SME) and tell you that they can't run a profitable business if they have to hire locals?
I used to work in local production company. I think not just S Pass or E pass, even work permit they also forge. For foreigner work from India to work as operator in Singapore, they need a diploma. They diploma are bought back in their hometown and arrange by their middle man. Now aunty and uncle job also taken up by Diploma foreigner worker from India!
You wouldn't believe if I told you that PRC with MSc in Management doesn't know what an LC stands for...... come to think of it I always thought the term stands for something improper.....:bsmilie:
I later learnt that the chap was more than resourceful when he showed my colleague where to source for the best resumes for job applications...... :bsmilie:
If you have to sacrifice so much to build and protect your country and now you lose to someone that comes and make $ and disappear, which country will support this?
Why would SME lose money doing business? You seriously think because locals inflated their sLary and not we import cheap labour?
....the inflated salaries would have to be returned in kind to the payer .... there are many cases of such corroboration or should I say collaboration .....
Yes, they would want that but the guardians of the universe would not allow that to happen .....Why do you think the MRT system has failed again without any known causes???..... :think:

That was not my question nor did I assume or suggest anything.
But since we are on questions: If you were to go to Australia and apply for a job, would you really care about the history and sacrifices of the early settlers and farmers? Or wouldn't you just simply try to get a job that pays your bills?

It is simply logical for a country to protect their citizen, including Australia. Like any other countries around the world, if you are coming to invest and contribute, we welcome you with open arms. If you are coming to work on jobs we have difficulties filling locally, we also welcome you. Nobody is complaining.
For those specialists, they are also welcomed anywhere. If you are one of those competing with the locals for the bread and butter job and you can live with a lower income because of obvious reasons, how then is this equation going to work? It is never about SME not able to fill the post due to high salarm but SME able to get cheap labour.
