Hw do u check the date of manufacture for L lens
mine is a older 28-70mm
the serial no: 21437

plze help out...thanz

you need the first two letters before the numerals to check the manufacture date.

The no. 21347 is just the serial no. serve no purpose.

while the production code UH1000 means that the lens was manfactured in 1993. This means that your lens is more than 10 years old. :bigeyes: L lenses are really meant to last. :thumbsup:

mine is manufacture in 2003 oct. so it is really a old lens..haha...but optically it is still solid like a rock
