Absolutely LOVELY!

Gorgeous tones and some serious control of light!

Only negative is the distracting reflection on the bottom left of the plate.

If there is a glow of flame from the charcoal it could have been better.

A glass of water would look nice.

i like the lighting... were two flashes used in this picture (camera left and right)? and softboxes too?:)

setup is quite complex.

total there about 5 strobes. Each doing different thing.
And alot of flagging (by black foil) and metering of the light..

didnt do much post pro.. you can get very good results off the cam if you light it well.. :)

nice image but can you explain whats the concept here?:)

a sizzling charcoal with some water droplets will bring it to another level of excitement.

lovely controls, love it. blow torch

nice lighting jw! love the texture of the charcoal and the fork!

awesome building blocks of life for dinner!

Anyway visited your webby.. interesting i must say.. I liked shaved..

haha.. thanks all

Shaven was a self portrait i did last year.. it was really a spur of a moment, and it was really satisfying! haha... glad that you guys like it.. it was on exhibition in public libraries before..

hmm may it can be expanded further with some fire or smoke..
the brief was to do black on black and without any other colours.. so i cant do much.. but these suggestions are worth trying... :)
