Channel 8 Events

We are consolidating all our MediaCorp Channel 8 event details here so that anyone who can interested will be able to know it from here first! Any photogs who would like to come to our events are warmly welcomed, and whenever possible we will try to arrange front-row spots for you all! Check this space often!

First up, we have a ra-ra roadshow coming up at featuring the artistes in the upcoming drama Break Out 破天网! You may have seen some of the trailers on Ch 8 already. A year-end blockbuster debuting 5 December, it has gorgeous scenes shot in MBS Skypark...yatch scenes etc so stay tuned!

The roadshow will be at West Mall (Bukit Batok) at 2.30pm, on 27 November Saturday. Artistes attending will be Guo Liang 郭亮, Jeanette Aw欧宣, Dai Yang Tian戴阳天, Elvin Ng黄俊雄, Zhou Ying周颖 and Belinda Lee 李心钰!

Another one is happening at The Heeren Shops, for the Top 10 Finalists of Star Search! 10 talented babes and hunks will be there to play games and shout about the Grand Finals happening on 5 Dec. They are Adeline 林赞银，YiLynn Teh 郑依琳，Peggy Lin 林佩琪，Sora Ma 马艺萱, Vivi Hu 胡薇，Jeff Lim 林志杰，Jeffrey Xu 徐鸣杰，Darryl Yong 杨子文, Romeo Tan陈罗米欧, James Seah 谢鸿辉!

Mrs PI event is 2 or 3 sat ago at Orchard only Michelle n Cynthia was there! N no Michelle didnt do any Wing Chun!

Thanks for the support! Received some messages of CSers interested to shoot for us officially! We would love to, but at the moment don't require official photographers for our events just yet. However, if you would like to share the images you shot at our events with us, please send them to channel8.photogs@gmail.com! We will be sharing them on our Facebook page, and will credit you as much as possible

Another upcoming event is a roadshow for our January drama debuting 10 January, Monday at 9pm! Prosperity 《喜事年年》is a heartwarming family drama emphasizing the values of contentment and family harmony! Details are as follows:

It is a little strange that such a large media/entertainment company like Mediacorp is inviting external photographers to their event.

Just wondering, TS are you from a marketing company that Mediacorp has outsourced its publicity & event management to (unlikely though), or are you from Mediacorp?

Hey there,
I'm from MediaCorp! Have actually worked with some of the CSers here for Star Search a couple of months ago. Have put up the gmail address simply because the interface manages large files easier, and photographers tend to send large folders over. I'm also not an official MediaCorp spokesperson, so it's best I stay as an informative source who will post up Channel 8 updates on ClubSnap.

It's true we don't *need* external photographers at the events per se, but more images never hurt anybody! We thought some CSers may be interested in photographing artistes, even from the audience, and thus wanted to consolidate a thread for this purpose. This thread is still in its infancy, but in time we hope to work more closely with the photogs in giving them official passes/backstage access!
