Hi all,
Can anyone share tips on changing your lens? Wats the method to minimise dusts or particals
from entering to the camera?Thks...:)

Regards.

try to change the lens in an enclosed area, with minimal moving air.

yr cam should be powered down and the camera face down while you are changing.

there is no way to prevent dust on the sensor unless you have a clean room environment :)

do remember to blow at lens cap or sensor cap, dirt can trap there as well, and when inverted to close, dust can enter :(

In addition, do it fast as there can be residue charge on your CCD that can attract the dust to stick on. I always get ready everything and swop the lens as fast as I can.

So that the sensor doesn't hold any charge and cause static electricity to be present causing particles to be attracted to the sensor :)

The other reason for powering down the cam is because that's the recommendation of many camera manufacturer. There are electronic contacts on the lens and lens mount, so sliding them when the camera is powered up is not a good idea.
