Hi,

I was trying to capture F1 cars with clear details during the night race but was unsuccessful.

Whenever I did get a clear frozen shot with shutter priority, it was way underexposed although exposure was set to the max.

I can't seem to post the photos here for a visual reference but would still appreciate any advice on this.

Cheers,
Alvin.

Exposure is defined by a) shutter speed; b) aperture and c) ISO. If a) is set to freeze motion (using shutter priority mode) then b) and c) have to be adjusted till exposure is at 0EV. Basics of exposure. What have you done about b) and c)?
There is a much recommended book called "Understanding Exposure" - links for bookshops are in the forum, there is a Mass Sales thread in Marketplace, search function upper right hand. Happy reading ;)
