CF or Micro Drive???

Which is faster???

Cos planning to buy for my 10D

I saw 1 CF got 80X write speed... but not sure for MD

i suspect that the 80x is faster but of course MB/dollar the MD is cheaper lah

but then becareful with it...cos it has movable parts, might spoil if u drop it. though some has said that it can survive normal dropping(from waist height etc)

do a search? i believe there were at least 3-4 threads talking abt the merits and cons of using MD last year.

CF is dirt cheap now, why risk using a HDD?

hmmmm, actually the cost is not the problem... i only confuse that why untill now... still got ppl using MD over CF...

I only want to know the reason

i think thats bcoz MD were dirt cheap last time compare to CF. Now... CF are much worth the money.

There's still reason to use MD if you're operating in the >4GB range. The price difference is still very significant, esp if you need a few pieces.

i'm currently using 3 pieces of the 4GB MD; i would love to replace them with CF, but it would cost me near $2k to do so.

But i agree that if you're using up to 1GB sizes, the CF makes more sense.
