Hi...all,

Latest Update for the exhibition:

Date : From 7 October to 20 October 2004
venue : The Photographers' Gallery, MITA Building

Epson has kindly agree to the kind sponsorship of all prints for the exhibition. However, Epson would want each individual photographer to go down to Epsite at Wheelock Place personally to do the print yourself. They've requested that they may want to keep the print after the exhibition. All rights of the image will remain with the photographer, but if Epson will have free usage of the image but credits will be given if used.

Epson has allocated the whole of August for the photographers to go down to do their prints. This includes the printing of the Indonesian's Photographer's photographs. As there are too amny photographer's, Epson will be giving specific time slot for us to go down to do the prints. The workflow will be as follows:

1. Do a colour calibration and adjustment of the photo at Epsite with the help from the Epson staff.
2. Do a test print (they call Test strip) to check and verify the tonality and colour for your final prints.
3. Save the file as Tiff format at their computer. The staff there will collate all the photos and print for us based on the test strip approved by the photographers.

Watch up for this space for more updates:

1. Time slot for booking to use Epsite.
2. Update on the poster, postcards & commerative booklet for the exhibition.

The time slots given by Epson are as follows:

I need 4 volunteers to help with the print of the Indonesian photographers. The weekend slot will be reserved for the volunteers who take on more prints for the Indonesian Photographers. Each person will not be handling (including yr own print) more than 3 prints. The volunteers do not have to be people from the trip as Epson is prepared to allow anyone who is keen to learn about their digital workflow to do the print. So, anyone who is keen can volunteer.

Pls put down your real name plus yr nick beside the preferred date (pls make up yr mind & no change to be entertained as Epson need to do their schedule planning as well)

As all may have known, there was a plan to print a commerative booklet for the exhibition. However, it was noticed that it will breach the budget of the sponsorship.

We've come to a juncture where a decision need to be made. The decision is whether the booklet for the exhibition is to be printed. If the decision is to go ahead and print, then be prepared to fork out a sum of S$70 (max) per person in return for 18 copies per exhibitor. By agreeing, u will be required to pay up the money when demanded. The extra sum of money us after the whole printing cost is partly offset by the sponsorship that will be coming in (cross yr finger, it better come!).

If the decision is "No", then we'll drop the whole idea of the commerative booklet. The show will just go on with the Poster & the postcards, no booklet. For this costs, Eddie has suggested that Singaporean should pay for the exhibition in Singapore while the Indonesian side take charge of the costs if they've the exchibition at their end. If the sponsorship comes in the costs will betaken care of (less the booklet)

Pls revert with your firm answer. We need everyone's reply. Short of one reply, we scrape the whole idea of printing the booklet/catalogue. The decision must be unanimous, I do not want anyone to complain that the minority's opinion is not respected. So, it's either all agree to do the book or not at all.
Pls pass the message to all who don't read their email very frequently......

Also, another thing, I need all photographer to give me the following:

1. The exposure data of the photo u take eg, Shot at f8, 1/125 sec
2. Camera equipment used eg. Nikon D100, at 50mm
3. Any filter used....
4. Title of the photo u r exhibiting ( U think yrself, Keep it short also, less than 7 words pls)
5. A short introduction of yrself as a photographer. Pls restrict yr self introduction to not more than 50 words.
