Can advise on audio CD burn?
Apparently doing "copy disc to disc" does not work.
It will copy the CD, but music played back has got plops, cracks, missing 1/2 sec gaps at random intervals.

Is it a must that we copy the tracks of the CD to the hard disk, then copy from harddisk to the CDR or CDRW?

What caused the plops, cracks and gaps?
Is it caused by PC or unknown copy protection measures in the audio CD?

what you did, cd to cd burning, i believe is called "on the fly" which tends to have the occasional error/blip if you 'ripped' the cd at high speed. you can try setting the ripping speed as well as the burning speed to be slower to reduce the amount of errors that may account or affect the quality of the burned disc.

the alternative way is as you had mentioned to do a cd to HDD then from HDD to CDR/CDRW method. there is also another method where you can do an image file on the audio cd before burning the image..
