I seriously don't think the FE helped in any way. That pole in the middle of the frame is most distracting.
I think it would have worked better non-FE, with a slightly wider crop to give the skyline that tiny bit of room more. Is that the floating platform in the middle of the water? I would prefer a shot without it- it mangles the shape of the skyline and the reflections.
