CASTING CALL:
We are Film students from the Puttnam School Of Film and we are auditioning for actors & actresses to act for us in a short film, titled Ayu, which we will be shooting in our studio right here in LASALLE.
The story is set in 1964, Singapore, during the racial riots between the Chinese and Malays. It is about a Malay girl who falls in love with a Chinese boy, which she brings home to her traditional Malay family in hope of them accepting him and the both of them being together despite the vast difference in their racial backgrounds.
The Roles are as follows: -
Ayu : (Lead Role)
- FEMALE
- 17-20 Year old
- Malay, pleasant looking
Ah Hup : (Lead Role)
- MALE
-18-20 year old
-Chinese or Malay that has very fair skin
-Able to read & speak Malay (if he is chinese)
Shafie : (Ayus Brother)
-Malay Male
-19-23 year old
Sahak : (Ayus Father)
-Malay Male
-40-45 year old
Epon : (Ayus Mother)
-Female Malay
-40-45 year old
