look no further than gitzos. your back will thank you for it after you decide you carry it around esp with heavier lenses.

I just got back from a 7 day trip carrying my gitzo around. Together with my backpack, if I had a tripod any heavier, my back might kill me. It might cost double the price of a feisol but its money well spend.

I like my Manfrotto and Velbon but I think my Gitzo is the best among my tripods, but it also cost more.

Found a used 3401 for <$300. Will settle with it 1st..;p

I suggest u get the 3301 as i supposed it is a 3 sections tripod compared to the 3401 which is 4 sections, the former is relatively stronger and provides better stabilty.
