Dear all,

I need to seek some advice from all out there.
Am currently using a 350D and 24-70L lense.
I just simply cannot take sharp group photos.
Can anyone please advice.

Thanks a million all.

It would be good if you could post a photo as an example. can be due to many factors like handshake or wrong focus point..

1. Choose a well lit (outdoor preferred) spot, light behind the camera.
2. Arrange the group such that they fill as much of the frame as possible (eg. 7ppl in 4 rows preferred to 14ppl in 2 rows).
3. Put your camera on a tripod about 10m away if possible.
4. Shoot in AV mode and shoot between F/8~F/11. Use a low ISO setting (<200)
5. AF on the center of the group.
5. Tell subjects FREEZE & DO NOT MOVE FOR 1 SEC.

Works for me :)

Thank you all for your advice.
I realise that i used a pretty small aperture for the shot like F5.
Does that also constitute to soft image for group as well?
I will inserted one of the images for show.
Just realise that i need to sign up with the service provider.
I took these at my little girl's birthday in her school.
Thanks for your comments and advice.
Gladly appreciate them.

I usually use f5.6 for my shots and it works out fine... And do use the widest setting possible(24mm in this case) so that u can get max DOF and wun be standing too far away...
