capture NX 2

hi guys,

i have a qns here, if e image i shoot is in raw format (NEF), thereafter, i convert it to jpeg and then do the post processing. image quality will be the same from taking jpeg straight from dslr? i dunno why i can't open up nef file using capture nx2.. is there something i miss?
any gurus can advise?

Silkypix, a raw processing software, showed the difference at this link below:

Usually, computer based RAW processing software can be more powerful as there is more computing power available for the software as compared to the processor available on the camera itself. :)

Try using the latest version of CaptureNX2 software. CaptureNX2 is constanly upgraded to support newer cameras models. Version 2.2.2 of CaptureNX2 is the most to-date version. :)
