capture NX 2

hi guys,

i have a qns here, if e image i shoot is in raw format (NEF), thereafter, i convert it to jpeg and then do the post processing. image quality will be the same from taking jpeg straight from dslr? i dunno why i can't open up nef file using capture nx2.. is there something i miss?
any gurus can advise?

Silkypix, a raw processing software, showed the difference at this link below:

Usually, computer based RAW processing software can be more powerful as there is more computing power available for the software as compared to the processor available on the camera itself.

Try using the latest version of CaptureNX2 software. CaptureNX2 is constanly upgraded to support newer cameras models. Version 2.2.2 of CaptureNX2 is the most to-date version.
