Any canoscan 4400F owner around?

you're in luck.... i just got it last week....
for its price, no complaints... :)

here's a b/w scan at 1200dpi resized....

from the negatives..... the 4400f comes with a 35mm film strip holder for 6 frames...:)

i got it for $190 but cash or nets payment.... bought at pk....
most of the places out of stock when i went looking for it...

i had considered the 8600f...but decided not to because of my usage....
i dun shoot mf and color films, only for 35mm b/w, so with the same dpi,
i went for the 4400f.... as for the speed, i'm not fussy....:)

100%crop on the 1200dpi scanned shot....

quality is pretty good for the price eh! hmm. thinking of buying one now but not sure if it justifies the cost or not.. thanks for the 100% crop man! :)

Bro Kross, perhaps you might want to get Canon to pay you for helping them on promoting this scanner for them. ;)

WOW!!

ur scan is great!! how come my scans are never as sharp? i know it's not due to my manual focussing... as not one part of the picture is sharp at all...

do you mind sharing what settings you use?
