Hi, Canon fans,
my Canon EOS630 has oil leakage on the shutter,
any idea to clean it?
Can I do it by myself?
Or ask Canon/TCW to service it? How about the price?

Thanks!

The same thing happened to my 630 a long time back. I sent it in to have the shutter replaced. Can't recall the price though. I don't think you can just clean the oil off.

Yes it's a known problem with the 630.
Happened to mine when mine was about 10 years old.
I think it was about $100+ to replace the entire shutter mechanism.
Impossible to just clean the oil off, the shutter is too delicate a mechanism for you to do that.

Thank you for your information.
