I have a brand new Canon R5. I noticed a horrible back focusing with my 35mm 1.4 Mark I. lens.
I have tried to micro-adjust focusing but apparently there is no option for micro-adjust AF in the menu... ?????
Anybody facing the same problem????
Thanks!

In mirrorless systems, the focus sensors are embedded in the image sensor. The problem of mismatch between PDAF sensors behind the flip mirror and image plane does not exist. Therefore, no micro-af anymore (necessary).
That said, I would rather have the lens checked since you state that it affects only the 35/1.4. It might have been calibrated (= offset) in the past.

Thanks! I guess I need to send the lens in and have it checked. Anybody know how much Canon charges for this?

Strange is that the camera does it with this lens only.
