canon more popular than nikon???

i see more people are selling nikon stuff and more people buying canon stuff even in buy&sell section also the same not many people sell nikon and very little people sell cannon stuff.

Even on the streets seems like a lot of SLR all canon type or others nikon not very common??

is it because nikon just too ex ?? or canon makes better stuff than nikon or is it because canon is cheaper.

guys any idea?

will nikon one day cease to exist if the trend goes on?? Or is it my observation is flawed pls comment.

Possible, one day Nikon will disappear. At that time, I will change from Canon to Nikon...

haven't you heard? canon's taking over nikon after pma (that's why no new dslr from nikon)...eos and f-mounts are going to be interchangable via the can-kon convertor system

That's because Canon concentrates on producing cheap cheap SLRs (e.g. EOS 888, 300, etc) which caters for the mass market. Just look at the number of entry level SLRs Canon have compared to Nikon!

Nikon concentrates on the professional level SLRs.

But then, someone said real photographers use Leicas, so why bother with crap like Nikon and Canon? :devil:

looks like me buying nikon wasnt such a good choice but the camera i bought i just felt it was to my liking so i dont really care as long as i like it.

well this thread was started to clear my queries.
hope the nikon and canon users or combo users can share more opinions on it. i did see some guys here change from nikon to canon.

Canon Pro digital bodies : 1D, 1Ds

Nikon came up with the "affordable" Pro DSLR first, Canon missed the boat. ;p

Canon came up with the "affordable" semipro DSLR first (D30).

I am beginning to think these companies collaborate to take turns to release stuff....
