Maybe this book will help :

Alternatively, you can tell us what are your needs and budget, and we can suggest some lenses.

Tell us you shoot everything and I can almost guarantee someone will shoot you ;)

And in case you're wondering, the Canon "L" stands for "Lust" (as in lusting after those lenses :bsmilie:)

One of the first faq i read up on before i even bought a DSLR.
Written by Bob Atkins, his faq started since pre - world wide web days.
Pretty easy to digest. The concepts apply for all DSLR users as well.

You can read up more on canon stuffs at his website : http://www.bobatkins.com
