PLease bear with me if my question sounds really silly.

I've got a 28-135 canon lens.

I notice that there's a ring where you can adjust from macro to infinitiy. There's also the other ring where you zoom from 28mm to 135mm.

I usually use the AF mode.

I'm just wondering.. what's the ring which adjusts from macro to infinity do? Does it mean that I can take macro shots?

Please enlighten me..thanks in advance.

Thats the focusing ring. If you are using AF, can actually ignore that ring. We use that ring for manual focusing. I do not have this lens but I think its not a real macro lens. You may need to add closeup filters or tube to get better magnification.
