I bought a 2nd hand lens without a lens cap, since the Nikon one is more expensive, wonder if the canon one would work?

Thanks

Thank you, save me some money...dunno why Nikon's plastic more expensive :dunno:  ;p

Canon, Tamron, Sigma, ... as long as the size fits. No problem... it probably just hurt the feeling of your Nikon lens that's all...

Be careful, using 3rd party product will void your warranty :bsmilie: .

If the filter thread size is the same, should be no problem.

Arto.

canon lens cap design is pretty crappy actually. better to get the tamron one.. much more secure. because the cap cant accidentally open as the catch is protected.

the canon lens cap will hate you.

Please don't even try to start another C vs N war here... :sticktong

But generally.. all caps which can fit the same filter size will work. Go for the 3rd party ones if you wanna save on the money.

you are either paranoid or assume too much. to make it clear - i was just poking fun at the ts.

so everybody, no war ok! use what you think is good for you.

err... Canon lens cap ain't cheap either..

3rd party? Those without branding.. can stick ur own brand there if u have the time to do decals :D
