Canon IXUS 55 or Panasonic Lumix FX8

Hi all fellow members,

Need some advise on choosing either the Canon or Lumix. I went thru the specifications and found out that Main difference is 1 has a imaging stablizer and the other is having 9point auto focusing. Anyone using of these cameras or used before please advise. Thanks.

bear in mind that the FX8 uses the old Venus+ engine. and not the newer venus II. i would go for the ixus, but not the 55. id go for the 50. the main diff btwn the two is just the extra 0.5" on the screen. the ixus 50 should be selling at a lower price now that 55 is out. the 50 is a very competent compact. i bought one for my gf and i enjoy using it too.
