hi all . . .

well just wondering how come my 2 yr old Ixus 2 , casing is tarnished . . .

is it due to material failure . . . ?

can anyone advice me pls . . .

I have a 2 year old Ixus V2 (2MP) and the casing looks quite shiny to me. I would recommend keeping the camera in a case when it is not in use. You could also wipe the camera with a damp cloth. Be careful not to let any fluids enter the camera.

A metal polishing solution called Brasso, available at supermarkets, could be used as a last resort.

well it was kept in da case . . .

battery n card out when not in use . . .

not very frequently used also . . .

n it's gettin from bad to worse . . .

puzzles me . . .

Is your camera kept in a drybox? Pollutants in the air, eg oil from cooking? salt in sea breeze? emissions from vehicles, factories? might contribute to the metal tarnishing.

well it's always being kept in da camera case . . .

wiped after use , batteries n card out . . .

well i'm puzzled too . . .

hi bro's
fer those usin canon ixusII , n havin da same prob . u can revert back to canon singapore n haf it change for free . . .

done it already . . . it takes only abt 1/2 an hour . . .
