8 Days, 7 Nights - 28th Apr - 5th May 2013This photographic trip comprises of 2 main attractions for photographers, Yuanyang and DongChuan Red Land. It is known as the best sites for landscape photography in Yunnan province, China.
Yuanyang County located in Yunnan province, China and it is 3000 metres above sea level . It is well known for its spectacular rice-paddy terrace. The terrace fields have been being officially acknowledged by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Yuanyang is also host to minorities tribes such as Hani and Yi. The minorities still wear their colorful traditional clothes everyday. The month of May is the starting of planting season and rice terraces becomes green and it gives a new theme and different perspective for photography.
Dongchuan Red Land is located in the Wumeng Mountain. It refers to a large area of red land located in DongChuan. Every year, part of the red land is ploughed for planting, while another part of the red land has already been planted with crops. The whole multi-colored land with the blue sky, white clouds and changing hues create a magnificent view. With gorgeous and colorful hues, The best season for shooting DongChuan Red land should be the harvesting season in May and November. Dongchuan Red Land is also praised as a Palette on earth.
