Hi all,

My friend just bought a unit of the DSLR mentioned above. He wish to know how to turn off the default setting for video shooting of 8secs? He takes video and everytime it stop after 8 seconds. Please advise & thanks in advance

what sort of memory card he uses?

I can't remember the brand but he is using a class 10 8gb card. The card is one of the freebie he got together with the purchase. When I check the free storage space, the card still has near to 6GB of free space.

There is no such setting, what would be the point anyway? Usually it's an indication that writing to the card is too slow and the camera stops recording to wait for the card. Check the card (there are test tools in Internet). Just because the label says 'class 10' doesn't mean the card knows about it and acts accordingly. Get a card of reputable brand.

Found the setting myself. Default is set at 8 sec. Instead of creating a new profile for it, I disable the function. All my friend have to do is to shoot the video and stop it manually.
