I want to know whish UWA Lens is best for Canon 50D:
-Canon (I know it would be the best but by seeing price list)
-Sigma
-Tamron
-Tokina
Please suggest, I read a lot on forum but at the end I am nore confuse
Appreciate your help on this.....
There is a similar thread talking about a few options of UWA. You cannot confuse, if you are, nobody will be able to help you
I will narrow down (myself) to Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6, 10-20 f3.5, Tokina 11-16, Tamron 10-24
You need to know what you really want, your priority.
- you want 10 mm wide, or don't mind 11 mm (for tokina)
Sigma f4-5.6 has been known as a good UWA. and cheaper. Tokina 11-16 is the 2nd ex,around $950. The Sigma f3.5 is most ex, around 1100 if not wrong.
2nd, you need to sure will you like the 10mm wide or the longer zoom ability of the Sigma (10-20) Tamron (10-24) vs Tokina 11-16
3rd, u need to know, or try to imagine, for what, and when you will likely use your UWA. Will u use it indoor very often? Will u use for indoor portrait?
Very well summaried.
Went throught the same choices, just got my Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6, best performence/price, especially at 10mm
Please have a look here: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=311048I am also thinking that if I am not going to use that much then why not go for used lens?
Guys, any good place where I can go and see used lenses. (I am checking on this site as well but is there any shop where I can go and check)
best UWA for cropped body: EF-S 10-22. Very flare resistant, very low barrel distortion, high resolving power.
