but the main thing to consider is costs?..
how much do the A60 or A70 costs?..
any ideas?>.
is it just the same as A40?
I passed by Alan Photo today. They said A40 no stock, gonna be discontinued and replaced by A60 and A70.
It should be more difficult to find good prices for A40, since all those having good prices have sold out their A40s.
Been to the canon website. They have suggested retail prices - 349 for A60, and 449 for A70. But these are in US$. After conversion should be abt S$600-700. But then again, they might still be cheaper than directly converting from US$ to S$.
I'm not too sure about the functions compared though. Coz I'm a newbie to all these...heck I've yet to get one myself, prob only getting one in May/June. There are a few improved functions to A60 and A70, how much better, I'm not too sure.
Looking at the situation, I would probably get the A60/A70 if the price range offered is abt S$500 - 500+. Anything above 600, I think I would be better off looking for an A40. If I were to pay so much more for juz a few little improvements, I'd rather get A40, which is much cheaper.
The only thing that attracts me most is A70's resolution at 3.2mp. Coz I've been checking ard for a 3mp digicam with A40's functions. The price tag is the major factor here.
If you want to compare them, go to dpreview. They've uploaded the specs for the new cams for you to compare side by side.
If I had the money now (coz I dont, so I'm still waiting till April/June), I wait abt 1 mth for the new ones, then if A40 is still the choice, it'll def depreciate alot more. Either way, wait for 1 more mth, I think.
