Canon 580EX ii trigger Nissin Di622 Mark 1 wirelessly

Hi,

I am using Canon 500D, and having Nissin Di622 Mark 1 as my only flash unit.

I am intend to purchase a Canon 580EX ii, so that i can set my Nissin as slave unit, and trigger it wirelessly.

Do you think it will work?

The Nissin 622 Mk1 can only be used as digital slave, no wireless TTL.

Er... no need. You just need the 580EX II or Di866 you should be able to make the Di622 into a slave.
