Canon 50D off camera flash trigger.

Hye everyone,

Hope all the shifu and masters can help me on this. I have a 50D and 580exII. I would like to remotely used my 580exII (off camera). But since 50D can't trigger 580exII wirelessly. What add-on remote model should i buy in order to trigger 580exII from 50D?

You have a few options

- Canon ST-2 (ETTL Supported)
- Another Canon 580EX/EX2 to act as master (ETTL Supported)
- Pocketwizards (ETTL Supported)
- Skyport (Not sure if ETTL is supported)
- Phottix Triggers (No ETTL, have to control flash manually)
- Any other ebay triggers (No ETTL, have to control flash manually)

Learning to configure your off-camera flash will be a good learning experience!

The Phottix Tetra cost less than $60, comes with 2 receives and 1 transmitter. Pretty good if you're on a low budget I say.
