Canon 500D to control two units of 270EX flash...is this possible?

Hi CS members,
As per the title, I am thinking of using my Canon 500D hotshoe to link up with 2x E-TTL cable to 2 units of Canon 270EX flash.

Qns: Would I be able to use both flash in E-TTL mode?

Qns: If I decide to do manual control on flash power, can I activate the flash control in camera body to manual mode for BOTH flash?

Anyone with the dual Canon 270EX setup to provide any advice?

Thank you in advance.

Note: I am thinking of the dual flash setup for macro shooting.

Found the answer myself. Borrowed a cable and same model flash to test and it works.

even for manual control for firing two flashes.
