On paper, the 30D is like a mildly improved version of the 20D but we can never be sure till the full test reviews are done. Must see what the price is like...

What I like best in the improvement has to be the 3.5% spot metering that I really missed with my 20D.:thumbsup:

i think the best improvement is the price...although it is not a revolutionary design, but at least they can keep the cost low to compete with others.

to the consumer, isn't price war better than megapixel race?

Oh no! Whats canon thinking? These looks like mostly minor ergonomics improvements. The new LCD and iso fine adjustments are quite useful but what I really expect is a upgrade in the resolution and performance. I suspect the reason for that is to not compete with their higher end 5D and 1dmk2 models. But this surely will put them at a disadvantage with the D200 in the same class having more resolution. They may have improved the IQ or image processing though. Its hard to tell at this time.

1 series should wait till Sep. I think they should be announcing more new lens later... cuz the next '1' cam might be 22Mp. so they need to line up lenses to support such resolution. the current 16Mp already pushing the lens.

1D, 1D MKII, 1DMKIIN are 1.3x wat

if u want 1.3x, can still pick up the old Canon 1D cheap, still a great cam if you dont mind the battery life.

for me, i will pick up the old 1D rather than 20D anytime ;p

(alrite...probably not when i am going for a long holiday or need that few extra MP for cropping)
