Good day gents,

I have an old 24-70 2.8 mark I. In recent months it has been making a click noise when zooming out.
Today it started to have Err01's that could not be cleared by cleaning the contacts - only resolved for short periods but remounting and restarting the body.
On further research this is a common issue and the click noise was the aperture flex cable getting caught/folded and hence progressively damaged.

While there are video guides and original parts readily available, I am not confident of doing this repair myself.

Hence would like to seek the recommendations of any professional (either shop or individual is fine) who will not rip me off but also maintain the optical performance of this lens after repair, with the part either sourced by them or myself (if they do not have genuine part).

TIA.

Cheers,
Nick

I heard Canon does not service 24-70/2.8 mark I anymore.
The video guide is good but it's for mk ii. I also noticed he dismantle a few unnecessary parts and didn't mention some important notes.
Try to search facebook, you might find someone who can fix your lens :)
