Cannot connect to camera with my Olympus C2040

I'm using the software provided on Win XP.
Any advice? It's very sad to face such a problem on my 1st attempt.

Once you connect your camera, it will be recognised as a removable drive. You can then click and drag the files to any directory.

When you make use of the s/w, it recognises the camera as a removable drive too.

Did you remember to switch the camera to the picture viewing mode first?

Yes i did.

Yes.
Anyway I had managed to solve the problem. It's due to a missing USB driver.

SHould not need an additional USB driver if you are using Win XP. THe USB driver which comes on the CD is only required for Win 98.
