Didn't went to read everything, it seems so tedious to shoot an insect but of course its a passion. This is really true dedication!!

He was using D100 with a slower sync speed. Won't have this problem with D200 + Micro105/2.8VR with Nano Crystal Coating. His problem was with the slow sync speed which apparently allowed the ambient light to affected his images, probably blurring the wings of the flying insects.

But I'm impressed with the laser used to trigger the shutter. I see he upgraded to a D200 also. ;p

Wow... this is what I called a very very DIY person :D

He is my kind of guy, unfortunately, I don't seem to have his kind of time...

Way scary....

no way I can match that.... no such machining skills

We must own our own gardan for this..... hahaha, I wouldn't want to be caught dead using his gears at any Npark :D

Wait till you retire lor.. Unfortunately, I think it's quite hard to retire early here and still be able to support oneself.. Those stuff don't come cheap unless it's from a surplus store... Maybe can try to salvage for the parts from the things they sell at Sungei Road. ;p
