I want to travel light , already have 2 tripod but still find them very bulky and cumbersome.. thinking of getting a monopod instead, can someone recommend me a good monopod ?

Hio LavenderTea do note that while the monopod does impart some stability, it cannot replace a tripod.

I love my Gitzo CF monopod. You can go down the shops such as Cathay to try. They have a wide range of other makers / models

I use the Manfrotto monopod with the Manfrotto #236 mount and a Quick Release.
Its great to use a monopod, when I was in Thailand I used the monopod like a walking stick and the people were so nice helping me up and down tne bus, into the boats to tour the floating market and so on. It was fun.

Can take a look at the following :-

- Manfrotto monopods @ Cathay
- Gitzo monopods @ Cathay or a level 2 shop in Penin Plaza
- Benro monopods @ Benphoto at Penin Shopping Ctr
- SLIK monopods @ Cathay

Each has it's pros and cons.

I have a Benro CF monopod for travelling purposes. And yes, it does not replace the tripod for sure but offers some stability.

Thanks... can you give me an estimate the price range, lest i can cheated by the shops
