Can anyone advise? Can a digital SLR camera also use a "Vivitar AF28-710 SLR zoom lens"?

I have a Minolta SLR camera with additional zoom lens. Is there a possible to buy a DIGITAL camera body (what model?) that I can still use my SLR Vivitar AF28-710 SLR zoom lens"?

Since the vivitar is usable on your minolta SLR, I would assume that it is minolta mount and having say that, it should be usable on all minolta DSLRs. :)

thanks, I appreciate that, I have also heard that using AF SLR lens on DSLR will crop the picture taken, is it true?

Yes. You will lose on the wide angle end and gain in the tele end.
E.g a 200mm lens subject to a crop factor of 1.5, will make your picture looks like taken with a 300mm (1.5x200) len on a SLR.

Reason is due to a smaller CCD size than the standard 35mm film.

thanks, for the info.

If this lens starts from 28mm, on your dSLR, probably not very useful as a starter walk around lense.
