Has anyone tried b4 using this combination on 80mm lens?

As this is a new macro lens so there's no real use comment online but there are similar threads about teleconvertor and extension tube.
Not sure what are the reasons for your question but a read of the links will give much clarifications. It will work but it depends on short or long lens combo.

For starters, 80mm lens is already a macro so you get 1:1 magnification and with mcx16 it's 1:1.27 which is slightly higher (refer to pdf chart in links).
An extension tube has a penalty of a fraction of light reduction..0.4X I think and a 1.4X teleconvertor is about 1 stop? You will probably need to stop down
some to get sharp photo. As to working distance I'm not sure closer or further see links again.

( MCX-11 + teleconvertor on fuji further down thread)
Will the MCEX-11 or 16 allow the use the 1.4x or 2x teleconverter on the 55-200mm lens?
