Can access http:// but not http://www

it means there is no DNS record for www.

it is still on the web, else u can't even access it.

i tried the url. www exist, but either it forward u to the shorter url... or they use javascript to change the url ... seems to be the case of the former though..

that site belongs to worldpress, which is a webhost company. if no one own buy that domain name, it will link to their default page.

also,

it is up to them how they want to name the site via IIS(for windows) or apache( yes, they are running apache on top of linux) .

http://abc.fx-services.net/
http://xyz.fx-services.net/
http://xxx.fx-services.net/

as long as they own the domain name fx-services.net and there is "A" record in the DNS server that point to abc, xyz, or xxx for example.

why are you asking this? you going to host something there?

Geez, didnt know its so technical.

I handled A Record and Cname once..and got so confused.

Why Im asking is because I stumbled upon this site and found it a tad fishy.
