you will be able to bring in cameras during the parents visiting day... dun worry abt where u can or cannot shoot.. ur brother would be inform beforehand where he will be allowed to bring u ard..those are are u are allowed to shoot, eg. bunk, company area, along coastal rd... do not venture to the off limits area..u just might get ur brother into trouble if caught... ;)

As for the enlistment, there isn't much chance for you to take pictures, only until your brother had taken the oath and submitted his beloved IC. You can take as much as you can in the fastcraft or at Pasir Ris. ;)

As for officiers, there are specialists too. :blah:

Save all the taking of pictures for parent's visiting day which you can be up close and personal with those officiers/specialists.
And not to forget POP(Passing Out Parade), the finale for your brother.

Hope this helps. :)

OOoo......it's time for your bro to grow up...and mix with older boys....ha ha ha...watch out for the change in him....

NS will shape his mentality....I hope...ha ha ha...wait till he kicks you out of his room when he moves back...ha ha ha

ur bro better not take any cameras or cam phones. parents/siblings still can on the day of visitation or sending off. mindef nowadays are very sticky abt security. my camp dun even allow mms phones with cameras or pdas w/o cams. all photo equipment must be surrendered at the guard room. so, be warned! dun kenna tekan on the first day!

don't worry got NTUC foodfare to cook and provide all his food, they serve 4 meals a day unless you're obease,

then got the automated washing machine to wash he's underwears,

then with the new standing orders, well he'll be well pampered beyond your expectation.

the new army is no longer ruled by hooligans, no more shouting of vulgarities in your face, cannot happy happy Knock it down! :p
they now train based on civilized way, treating recruits the more humane way.

but overall, army is good exposure, you get to meet people you never knew existed, some good some bad, you get trained for working outside, the systems more or less the same, they all do the same shiitty things

recruit don't bring lah.. parents bring they usually close one eye one.. cos not going to training area

Be prepared to have half of tekong staring at u as if u're some exotic creature (female). the other half are probably social inepts or gays.

LOL. Tekong is not that bad but it really depends on your Company. During Parent's Visiting day you can take pictures. I'm pretty sure you can do so during enlistment day too. BTW do ask your brother to get some extra batteries for his handphone. My specific company didn't allow us to use our chargers during the 1st 3 weeks.

Taken back in 2002, no problem

we called it TP... Tekong Polytechnic! it sure brings back some memories. stayed at the old camp 1 (where all the "exciting" stories originate) for 1st 1/2 of BMT, and moved to the new one for the second 1/2. very gd liao, i shld say.

no worri abt ur bro, ruthbaby. he will gain weight inside. im also abt the same size as ur bro but has no prob coping. i sure he can do it too. ;)
