camera to put in the car

I need some recommendations of a compact cam to be put in the car.

here are some pre-requisites.

1)must be tough
2)must be able to take the heat if car is parked under the sun
3)must be able to take AA batts just in case rechargebles run flat?:dunno:
4)must be able to take videos (of errant drivers and buttholes...and i'll be sending the clips to TP):bsmilie:

ok..seriously, i need a pns to be placed in the car.

I agree with this. If your purpose is to take pictures for car insurance claims purposes, using a handphone with a camera function is sufficient (at least that is what my insurer says).
