Small island....
Hi ppl,

Hope some experts or veterans can advise.

What settings fo you use for an outdoor event (night, but got stage lights), and cannot use flash?

If, I have a Nikon D70, 70-200mm and tripod.

1) ISO settings

2) Aperture suggestions

3) Any other advice

Any help is appreciated. :)

ISO800
f/2.8
1/[FOCAL LENGTH] shutter speed

Anyone uses a teleconvertor for this purpose? Eg. Nikon TC-17E II? :dunno:

And a calm n steady hands :)

I shoot low light for a dance competition a while ago and used ISO 6400 from my D1H .. A VERY bad mistake.

Shoot at ISO 1600 the most ... and post process it if you dislike the grain.

re. 1/ focal length .. for me, just set to Aperture mode and shoot when there is a stage light illuminating your object ,as your VR lens can help you greatly.
