Camera Recommendation for a newbie

Get the D80! you won't regret it..D200 is an overkill for a newbie but surely an excellent camera for advanced users

haha.. in the first place, graphicz, what sort of cam are u looking for? DSLR or normal digicam with some manual functions to play with?
Note that no doubt price of DSLR is getting low...still gotta buy lens wo!

<$2.5 k will get u D80 bah.....D200 will be no lens....body nia...

IMHO... with 2.5K to spend, why not get a cheap 2nd hand entry DSLR to play with 1st. A 2nd hand good condition entry level DSLR costs less than 1K now in B&S section.
